Constitution of A.B.T.A as accepted by the 70th Annual General Meting of the All Bengal Teacher’s Association on the 20th October, 1995 at Mahajati Sadan, Calcutta
Name :
The name of the association shall be All Bengal Teacher»s Association (A.B.T.A.) and its registered office shall at present bee P14, Ganesh Chandra Avenue, Calcutta-700 013.
Flag :
The whole ground of the flag is subscribed with the bright rays of the rising sun over blue dome of sky. The horizental and vertical proportion of the flag shall be 3 : 2.
Aims and Object :
To advance the cause of scientific education in general and secondary education in particular.
To foster the spirit of international brotherhood and intellectual co-operation amongst the workers in the field if education.
To promote the safe gourd the interest if the teachers and the employees of the educational institutions and to work unitedly for the cause of teaching and non-teaching employees with other organization in ther state or national level.
To secure legitimate place in the various sphere of national life for the workers in the field of education.
To secure adequate representation of secondary teachers and other employees thereof in the university. The Board of Secondary Education and other bodies controlling educational policies in the state and in the union by forming federation and confederation with teachers and other democratic organizations.
To carry out the educational experiments and research.
To maintain the traditional dignity and moral standard of the workers in the field of secondary education.
To fight effectively against any attack on the democratic rights and securities of the people and to fight against all sort of exploitations.
To promote all sort of activities for the welfare of workers in the field if education. Student and people in general.
To fight for cause of professional improvements of the workers in the field of education in general and secondary education in particular.
To cultivate the spirit of scientific socialism.

Area of Operation :
The activities of the Association will for the present be restricted to the state of West Bengal with power to extend there to other area if and when necessary.
